2619) Most things we do we know are wrong usually begin in our hearts as a rationalization.
I know this is wrong but in this case; I have to do it.
If we’re quiet in the moment we are contemplating doing the wrong thing or not doing the right thing; we stand at a fork in the road. We need to make a choice.
James 4:17 tells us a little about these kinds of choices. It reads, So, whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. (ESV)
This message is simple, and no amount of rationalization will change it.
If I know what is the right choice in my walk with God and I choose not to do it, it is sin; something that nailed Jesus to the cross. Thank God he provided redemption for us. Without it, we’d have no forgiveness.
