2441) When we were kids, we were, at times, quite destructive. For example, my brothers and the neighborhood kids and I would have dirt clod fights.
You know, those pieces of dirt, stuck together with clay. Many times, there were rocks embedded in them, and they caused injuries when hit in the wrong places.
When I think about this, I can see my 10-year-old self holding a dirt clod and brushing the dirt away to reveal the rock.
Then my mind turns to John 8:1-11 where the adulteress woman had stones thrown at her. Jesus tells the men that only those who are sinless can throw the stones.
Because I have a vivid imagination, I can see the woman who was being threatened. She has a stone in her hand, too. She realizes that she needs to drop the stone of condemnation as well. Romans reminds us that as children of God; we live, grow and thrive on grace. Romans 8:1. Jesus never wants us to condemn ourselves or others. His grace covers a multitude of sin. I Peter 4:8
