2442) I don’t know when Play-Doh came into being, but I remember I had a few small cans of the stuff and I had a lot of fun creating snakes, pancakes, round balls of various sizes, etc.

Another thing I did was roll the dough flat and take the lid off the can and push it into it. This formed a perfect re-creation of the logo, which was embedded into the lid.

Romans 12:2 reminds me of Play-Doh. It tells us, in part, not to be conformed to the world. The word conformed means to be molded, similar to the toy I delighted in.

The world, meaning those who do not have a relationship with Jesus, has its own lids with logos which are not helpful nor good. If we allow ourselves to be placed within its mold, it will leave marks on our lives. These impressions are not what God wants for us. We need to seek God and let his mold form us. It is a choice.
