He gives it in assurance of salvation. He can use peace in giving instructions and guidance. It is available to grasp in desperation.

Still, I have realized there are moments when the peace connection between God and me becomes interrupted. Not because God is taking it away, but because I have either turned it down or insist on something I think is right over what God has in mind.

What I think would be useful is to remember that when I do not sense peace within, I should evaluate why it isn’t present and go about fixing it with God’s help. Living without peace for a Christian isn’t what God has in mind for us.
