2610) Have you ever been really thirsty? It seems odd to me, but the time I want a drink of water the most is right when I crawl into bed.
I can feel the craving within, and I take a long drink from the water bottle I keep on my nightstand.
Psalm 63:1 tells us David was thirsty for God. He craved a deeper relationship. He knew that in order for his relationship with God to thrive; he needed to keep it watered.
As I think about this, it’s easy for me to think that this thirsting is a feeling. It can be, but it can also manifest in an ongoing conversation with God. Times when I let him know how I’m feeling, even though he already knows this. Relationships are healthy, by choice. Feelings have little to do with it.
