2572) Have you ever known someone who really doesn’t care where you go to eat or doesn’t have a preference on which movie to see? It’s nice if you’re the one asking because the other person is basically saying, you decide.

The one person I knew who said this regularly became a burden because I wanted them to decide, give an opinion, or agree or disagree.  It seemed to me that they just didn’t care enough to state what they thought.

Revelation 3:15-16 describes this take it or leave it attitude. Here, John said God would rather a person be hot or cold. The lukewarm person, spiritually, is one who is detestable.

Why detestable? Because they just don’t care enough to make a commitment, for or against God. It communicates that there isn’t value in the offering, so being lukewarm is unappetizing. Having a spiritual take it or leave it attitude produces nothing  good.
