On days when I found dealing with strife difficult were often times when I was tired, irritated, and/or frustrated. I think we all can relate to this occasionally.

Fortunately, God is very different from us. Nahum 1:3 tells us God is slow to become angry. He doesn’t have events, people, and words that tick him off. He is able to sit back and not react in anger.

God is also fast or great in power. He holds the ability to do anything he wants, therefore, it’s good he’s slow to anger. Following God means we strive to behave like he does. This is very difficult, but it starts by choosing, one thing at a time, to be slow in letting our “power” and anger fly and destroy.
