Sharing

2513) Sharing isn’t an easy thing for kids. When I had recess duty, I would often see and hear one of my young scholars coming to me, livid, because someone else did not share a basketball with them. I would then remind the kids that the playground basketballs belong to everyone.

Though it’s easy to see kids not sharing, we adults can be caught in the same emotional trap.

Hebrews 13:16 tells us to not neglect to do good and to share what we have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. (ESV)

The author of Hebrews reminds us that we need to share with others. This sharing does not have to be monetary; it can be sharing our gifts and talents with others.

This sharing also brings blessings. Acts 20:5.

God expects what he gives to us to be shared with others.
