Some like being home because it is a place of peace, solace, and safety. If home is not like this, it’s easy to assume you have no control over it.

No control might be true for small children, but Proverbs 24:3-4 tells adults that a house is built by wisdom. This type of atmosphere isn’t just something that appears within the home. Home is something you build.

This building might house a negative and angry atmosphere. Why is the atmosphere like this? It’s because of choices the people within make.

This building might house a positive, forgiving, and encouraging atmosphere. Again, it didn’t automatically become this way. Choices created this space. What type of building you live in depends on the atmosphere you have at home.
