2466) I can remember hearing about Noah and the ark when I was small. I thought it would have been fun to have all the animals with me on a boat. (I clearly didn’t understand what a burden of responsibility Noah had concerning them.)
As I reflect on 2 Peter 3:9, God wants to give plenty of time (and in Noah’s case 120 years) for the ungodly to repent.
It’s mindboggling that no matter how evil, wicked, or hateful someone is, God wants to redeem them. He wants them to be with him for eternity.
If this is the case, our forgiveness and compassion toward those who have treated us poorly is imitating the God of mercy and grace. God wants none to parish, therefore, we shouldn’t either.
