For example, when someone we know is distraught, it’s easy to take on this feeling with them. I don’t think this is necessarily bad, and yet, when we reflect someone’s anger, etc., it can be.
Proverbs 15:1 tells us a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (ESV)
When we reflect the anger someone else is wielding, it usually escalates the problem. A better solution is a softer reply.
