Noah and the Flood

The account of the flood in the book of Genesis tells us many details of what transpired in Noah’s day. Additionally, scientific research also focuses on the problem of Noah building such a structure, as described in Genesis, and gathering and sheltering two of every animal.

In this download, you will receive:

A general overview of the events that take place in Genesis 6-9, including:

                * What happened in the historic event.

                * A detailed look into the building of an ark and the evidence that

two animals of each species could have easily fit on the ark.

                * A look at what may have happened to the ark.

You will also receive blank copies of handouts for use in the classroom or in a Bible study or small group.

Studying the different names for God gives you a better understanding of the Bible passage in which it is used. With this download, there are 66 names for God/Jesus provided. In chart form, you’ll find the name, what it means, and one place you can find it in the English, Hebrew and/or Greek Bible. This download includes Suggested Bible study and teacher ideas. A completed chart that features the name for God/Jesus, what the name means, and at least one place in the Bible where this name is used. The chart provided after is blank, except for the names of God/Jesus, perfect to use in a classroom or Bible study.

Here is a creative way to teach the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7.

I have included lesson plans, introductory ideas, illustrations and worksheets that are both completed and left blank for the class to fill in. I have used both the King James Version (KJV) and the New Living Version (NLV) in these lessons.

This Bible unit would be ideal on the high school level and older.

I’m sure I’ve read hundreds of warning labels through the years and had many laughs, but there is one specific label I have not seen and this is a terrible oversight. I have seen no warning labels for our words. There is no single book at the elementary school where I teach that has a warning label cautioning the students to be careful with how they use their words.

There is great power in words; they can build up or tear down. Gossip leaves a path of annihilation behind it.

This short Bible study on the subject of gossip provides what God says about it and how to avoid it.

Here is a creative way to introduce the 12 Disciples of Jesus in the New Testament.

My "Who Were the 12 Disciples?" worksheets give you an introduction quiz, asking your class to name the disciples (with answers included).

Following this quiz, you will find worksheets featuring two disciples per page and then each sheet filled out with information on each disciple. Get to know who these 12 men were that closely followed Jesus and what became of them.

This activity would be ideal on the high school level and older.  I will be adding many more of these items in the near future, so check back often.
