Gossip – A Short Bible Study

I’m sure I’ve read hundreds of warning labels through the years and had many laughs, but there is one specific label I have not seen and this is a terrible oversight. I have seen no warning labels for our words. There is no single book at the elementary school where I teach that has a warning label cautioning the students to be careful with how they use their words.

There is great power in words; they can build up or tear down. Gossip leaves a path of annihilation behind it.

This short Bible study on the subject of gossip provides what God says about it and how to avoid it.

I’m sure I’ve read hundreds of warning labels through the years and had many laughs, but there is one specific label I have not seen and this is a terrible oversight. This short Bible study on the subject of gossip provides what God says about it and how to avoid it.

Where is God in the midst of tragedy and suffering? Is it possible to surrender to God’s will during times of despair? Deeply wounded, at Bethany R&L Behavioral Healthcare Center, Stacy Meadows, Stefan Krause and Debbie Young struggle to find emotional healing but when they encounter Chaplain Joseph Miller’s mysterious bottles labeled for each of them, they are curious. How will a collection of bottles help with their healing especially when they are feeling angry with God? It is only when these three individuals discover the real purpose behand these mysterious bottles in this Contemporary Christian novel, they discover a deep spiritual reawakening. From Christian suspense author Susan Grant, who brought you 100 Minutes with God: 1 Minute Daily Devotions of Timeless Inspiration, you’ll discover in the inspirational faith-based fiction book: * how to let go of control and trust God when your life’s falling apart. *how to talk honestly with God in prayer and why this is important. *how to better your relationship with God.

Who said life had to be fair? How does a Christian deal with fairness and Christianity?

Check out my Bible study plan on this worthwhile topic.

This download includes:

Bible passages used with this topic.

A brief word study on the word, abandonment.

A suggested way to introduce this topic.

Definitions and teaching notes on topic.

  Applications that are practical.

You can use these discussion questions in Sunday school, Bible study, or small groups.

There have been studies conducted on the human brain that show that when someone associates a number or sequence of numbers with events, they have better recall with them than without them.

It is in consideration of these studies that a helpful tool for pastors, Bible teachers, small group or Bible study leaders is a guide of numbers that connect with events in Jesus’ life and times. I have included a chart of numbers that connect with these events, along with corresponding references in the Bible where this information is revealed. Included are 22 sets of numbers.

Included in this download, you will find important New Testament terms, their definition and, if applicable, and an example of where you can find it in the Gospels.

Following the first chart of 35 terms, you will find blank charts to use as a note-taking guide in your Bible study, class, or small group.

Here is a fun way to introduce a Bible unit to your students. My Biblical quotations quiz, “Haven't I Heard That Before?” is a fun way to begin any Bible study. Just pass out the 3-paged quiz and instruct your students to read the quotations and circle the "Yes" if they believe it originates with the Bible or "No" if they believe it doesn't. When everyone is finished, you can use the included answer sheets to go over the quizzes and see how everyone did. When I have used this in my Bible classes, there has been much speculation and some surprises when the answers are revealed. This activity would work on the high school aged students and older.
