This resonates with me because I’ve seen examples of this, good and bad, that have encouraged or discouraged someone to follow God.

Proverbs 19:17 tells us one way others can know about God is when we provide for the poor. I know that physical and financial needs come to mind quickly, but there are other “poor” people.

These are the people who are in the midst of crisis. They may be poor in spirit and don’t know the Lord. They could be those who are in dire need of prayer.

Anytime we can provide for the poor, this verse tells us God will repay us the debt. We should be a living example of providing for the poor.
