2611) Where I live, we have a huge overpopulation of deer. Someone local told me as they drove a 3-mile circuit nearby, they saw 54.

Because there are so many deer, as a driver, you have to be diligent or you’ll have a collision with these beautiful animals.

My problem is, sometimes when I’m driving, I get to thinking about what I am going to do next; I forget to watch. This has produced a few near-misses with the deer.

1 Peter 5:8 reminds me of this. Peter tells us to be alert because Satan is prowling nearby like a roaring lion, looking for someone to destroy.

Like deer, we need to be diligent in being aware of these dangers. Reminding ourselves of this can help us remember to watch and be aware.
