2554) There have been times in my life when there was anything but peace within. Living in this state is exhausting and can be overwhelming. No peace to be found.

Some of these tumultuous times rise from a battle within my heart. The opponents are what I insist on versus letting God direct the outcome. If I’m attuned to God’s word, I will lay down my weapon of I Want, allowing peace to flood in.

Psalm 29:11 tells us God blesses his people with peace. This blessing comes with a stillness and quiet within, despite the circumstances. It’s acknowledging that God knows best and will help us to sit and rest in the knowing. So many times, peace is just out of reach when we can choose to be settled in this blessing.
