2534) There have been many times when I have stood back and observed people. I am particularly zeroed in on the delight and joy I can see in others’ faces.
This delight might be a result of someone seeing their kids doing something endearing. It might be in response of someone playing with a pet. I also see this when one is pleasantly surprised.
One thing I haven’t looked for as often as I should is seeing in my mind the delight God has for his children.
Psalm 149:4 tells us God takes great delight in his children. It’s almost as if I can see within my mind God watching me and smiling.
This delight God has for me makes him seem like my biggest cheerleader, and perhaps he utters, way to go! You’ve got this! I’m so happy to see you. I love hearing your jokes. Your joy is my joy. If I took the time to listen to God’s delight in me, I would see myself in a totally different way.
