Nothing

2526) Relationships can be so tricky. Are we friends, strangers, or mere acquaintances? Are we critical, accepting, or blind? Are we obligated, lonely, or magnanimous?

How to navigate all the different relationships we have is a trial and often error-filled journey, and because of this, it’s easy to assume our relationship with God follows these patterns.

Ephesians 2:8 tells us it’s only because of  grace that we are saved. There’s NOTHING we can do to earn it. Not correct words. Not loving actions. Not our strivings to be righteous.

There’s also NOTHING we can do to cause God to break his relationship with us. Not if we screw up. Not if we deliberately make a poor choice. Not if we refuse to forgive someone in our lives.

Grace is not something earned or something so fragile it can be lost. These are great words. NOTHING can separate us from the love of God! (Romans 8:38-39)
