Proverbs 12:25 tells us people’s hearts can be weighed down with the difficulties of this life, and when we come in contact with them, we can help. It tells us to give a good word or encouragement to others.

I am not suggesting that saying something encouraging but not honest will help others. This type of encouragement is not honest, and the receiver will often get that. Instead, looking deeper, we can minister to others.

All of us have burdens we’d like to lay down. Encouragement can help.
