2506) I have mentioned before in these minutes that when I write about familiar verses, I try to look a little deeper for some not-so-obvious treasures. Today’s familiar verse is Jeremiah 33:3.
Call unto me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. (ESV)
The treasure I want to think about is what God promises to do when we pray. He tells us when we come to him, he will share valuable things with us that we may not have gotten any other way.
These “things” might be an insight into a specific situation. It might also be a way of seeing a verse that we have not seen that way before. It may be a joy coming from communing with God. Any of these is a blessing.
Above my writing station, I have the following quote that adds even more to these thoughts. It reads: If we could see what happens when we pray, we would never cease to pray. Louie Giglio.
Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
