2452) I recently read a book about someone’s clinical death and what they saw in heaven before returning to the “now”.
I never argue about what someone states as their experience, but proceed to consider them with caution.
In this book, the author told of being in Jesus’ presence. How much he felt loved; how God 100% saturated the man with compassion and grace. I often paused in my reading to contemplate this.
While walking with my little dog, Cayce, the other day, these words of Jesus’ love washed over me, and yet, immediately, I heard the voice of the serpent in Genesis 3:1
Did God really say? (NIV). These are the first words recorded that Satan said to Adam and Eve. Look closely at what Satan is really asking them here.
Did God really say? Did God lie to you? Did God mislead you?
When it comes to embracing God’s love, grace, and forgiveness, the enemy, Satan, wants you to doubt it.
Sometimes this comes in the form of it’s not being humble enough when you bask in God’s love and compassion.
You can’t accept God’s love and forgiveness fully because if you do, you’ll just do whatever you want and take advantage of God’s grace.
Whether any of these types of thoughts are present in our minds, Satan is clearly using his old strategy to belittle or diminish God’s promises to his children. Being aware of the lie is helpful in our walk of faith
