2447) I can remember reading verses as a child such as Psalm 134:2, which reads, lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord. (ESV)
The term bless the Lord was just something I read without giving it much thought because I didn’t understand it.
I know what it means when someone states; you are a blessing to me and it didn’t occur to me that in obedience and my faith can be a blessing to God.
It’s almost as if he looks at me and my actions and says, your obedience to me, despite the difficultness, blesses me.
When Acts 20:35 is read in this light, it is more blessed to give than to receive takes on a whole other dimension. Bless God today in the choices you make. He loves it!
