2445) When it comes to grocery shopping, there is one store I hate (and yes, that’s the word) to go. I find myself going there every once-in-a-while because it has the best prices on certain items.
One of the reasons I hate going there is because of the crowds. Navigating the aisles is difficult, and products can be disheveled.
When I was in the store recently, I saw some items that had fallen onto the floor and been left there. As I approached, I saw someone, who clearly had not caused this item to be on the floor, stoop, pick it up and place it back on the shelf.
I thought this small and mostly unseen action was an important one. It reminded me of
1 Corinthians 12:22.
Paul is reminding us in this 12th chapter that all gifts and abilities God gives us are important. There’s not one that’s more important because they all are needed.
When someone picks up a fallen item; it’s just as important as running the store. Remembering that all we contribute, no matter how small we think it is, is important.
