2641) There are so many places in the Bible that tell us God will always provide what we need. Genesis 22:14 is one of them.
For me, this sometimes is one of God’s promises I doubt. I know. It sounds horrible as I write this. But let’s be honest, our idea of providing isn’t always (if not rarely) what God means by it. We can see what we think is the way for God to provide in any given situation.
Fortunately, God doesn’t look at his provisions this way. We face limitations in every area. We cannot see the future. We cannot know what’s in the hearts of others. We don’t always know what specific things we really need in any given moment.
God knows the past, present and future. He knows our personal history. He knows who we interact with. He knows what he wants us to do for him and so much more.
Which is a better bargain: should I rely on someone limited to provide for me, or on someone who created all life? It’s helpful to remember the answer to the above question.
