Relating

2637)  Have you ever been in a conversation with someone whom you could not relate? Maybe they are financially above your income. Maybe they lived in a generation or culture you don’t know.

In thinking about this, how about trying to relate to God; the all-knowing, all-powerful God? Can you relate? I’m not sure about your answer, but mine would be no.

The amazing thing to me about God is he knew he would have to become a human, so we could understand him in a way we wouldn’t be able to before.

This also demonstrates that God himself knows what it’s like to be human, having struggles we do in this life. These things might be illness, yearning, hunger, and even death.

John 1:10 tells us Jesus came into our world to give us these things and more, and yet, there will be people who won’t believe. Why? Perhaps it’s because God did become man.

Jesus came into our world for many reasons, and one of them is so we could relate to him.
