2625) It’s a natural thing to only consider what’s going on in the little world in which each of us lives.
Sometimes, I imagine a place I’ve been, such as an airport, and think about the hundreds of people that are there in any given moment. This thinking reminds me that the world doesn’t just revolve around me.
This is what I see when I read 1 Corinthians 2:9. Here, Paul reminds us, what no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. (ESV)
I sometimes visualize loved ones who are now with God in heaven and to read how Paul describes it is beyond anything I’ve seen, heard or imagined.
This is part of the hope we have that one day we’ll move from this life into the next with God.
You can have this hope, too, if you’ve come to God, confessing your sin, and asking for Jesus’ substitute death on your behalf. Don’t miss these things!
