2599) When we praise someone, we often use words. This is a great meal. Your child is so polite. You have been so helpful.

Some praises are rooted deep within. Thank you for your support. You make me feel safe. The kindness you shared touched me deeply.

There are some praises that aren’t as obvious, however, and we can find them in Psalm 150:1-6. Here, the psalmist reminds us we can praise God using trumpets, lutes, harps, tambourines, strings, pipes, and cymbals.

But what about those of us who do not play a musical instrument? As I reflect on this question, it occurs to me that these people are using the gifts God has given them to praise.

I might not have those gifts, but I have a lot of other ones. God is always praised when we use the gifts and abilities he has given us. Thank God!
