2597) One thing I have struggled with throughout my life is the fact that, in this life, we cannot see God. We can’t turn to him in a room, see him and continue a conversation, reading his body language, hearing his tone of voice and, of course, listening to what he says.
Yes, I know God is with me everywhere, and he speaks and reacts, yet what I yearn for is this seeing, face to face.
If I slow down this deep yearning, I can remind myself where I can see God in this life.
I saw him when someone made time for me on a busy day, listening to my grief and crying with me.
I saw him the day I walked down the aisle and married my best friend.
I see him each morning when I first see the face of my little dog.
You see, God is where love is present, because he is love. 1 John 4:8. The tears, the laughter, the joy, the story, the grief, the patience, and so much more. We can see God wherever there is love.
