2530) There is so much revealed to us about other people without even speaking with them. If you take note of how they dress, what kind of haircut they have. How they speak and what vocabulary they use; all of these are images of where someone is from, what kind of house they grew up in, and more.
We reflect our origins, and Genesis 1:27 sets an important pattern. Here, God tells us he created us in his own image. We reflect God in our complexity, thoughts, healings, gifts, and abilities.
In other words, these things hold God’s stamp of his image within ourselves, even if we are not followers of him. Since all of these things are true, it’s important that we treat ourselves and others with dignity and respect because each of us bears the fingerprint of God.
