2809) Being an author may sound romantic to some, but the truth is, it’s very hard work.
It may surprise you that writing the book, story, poem, or essay is the easy part. After this comes the editing, rewrites, editing again, over and over. You then need to hire a professional editor for the genre you write under and then edit some more.
When you’ve traveled the editing road extensively, you need to hire someone to create a cover, format your book, and then upload it to several book distributers online. Then you need to promote, promote, promote. It’s an arduous process.
If you don’t allow yourself to skip steps or settle for mediocrity, you can hold your book in your hands and be proud.
In thinking about this, did you know that Jesus is an author, too? Hebrews 12:2 tells us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Jesus thought through the manuscript, put the plan into action and promoted it through his word and those who represent it. Jesus did not skip steps or settle for mediocrity. Our salvation is available because of what Jesus did.
Jesus wrote the story of our salvation. Thank God he did.
