Flexible Peace

2499) For many reasons, I am a planner. This is a helpful thing while being self-employed. I have a schedule; I stick to it. Routines are my calm place.

However, life rarely runs as planned. Routines get interrupted. Our bodies get sick and more.

When I read Hebrews 12:14, it reminds me that striving for peace with others is important, and in order to do this; I have to be flexible.

This striving may be to change around a routine that works better on some days. It can mean I need to orchestrate those who work for me, changing meeting times. It can also mean I leave unsaid something that is burning to come out of my mouth. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with planning, but realizing that life doesn’t always work according to plan is helpful.
