What Are You Really Saying?

2476) If you think about it, don’t we play many “games” with what we say? Are we speaking in passive aggression? Are we implying something? Are we speaking the whole truth?

Because we’re not always sure what someone’s words are motivated by, it can also be applied, even if subconsciously, to God’s words.

Does God use words the way we often do? Psalm 12:6-7 gives us the answer. It tells us God’s words are pure, and he will keep his promises and protect of us always.

What is God really saying? (Doesn’t this sound a little like the words of the serpent in Genesis 3?) He’s saying exactly what is written. There are no guessing games with God. His word is truth.
