2472) As my retirement date gets closer, I have begun to prepare for it. I’m giving my students my dachshund paraphernalia and filling boxes with things I will bring home permanently.
Preparation is important, especially when it comes to tasks that can potentially take a long time to complete.
John 14:2 tells us God prepares for things, too. It tells us God is preparing a place for us up in heaven. Whether this means literally or figuratively doesn’t matter; it’s the preparations God is making that’s important. There are no what ifs in heaven. God is preparing for us to join him. This gives us something to look forward to.
