The Power of One

1689) I am so distressed when I watch the news, read my newsfeeds on social media and even hear the things people yell at each other at public events. Many behaviors today are close to barbaric and I ask myself, what can be done? I can’t change the actions of others, yet Titus 3:2 reveals what I can do.

Paul tells us to: 1. Speak evil of no one. 2. Avoid quarreling. 3. Be gentle. 4. Show perfect courtesy to all people.

I’m not surprised about any of these things Paul lays out, but how does this do anything about the widespread ill behavior of many that fill up the news? That’s where the power of one comes in.

One person behaving in the manner Paul points out will affect those around them, which affects those they are around, which affects those they are around, etc. You get the point.

One may not seem like many, but it actually can be.
