Biblical Freedom Bible Study Lesson — What Is Freedom? Consequences of Freedom — Hebrew & Greek Word Study — Christian Homeschool & Christian Schools

What IS freedom — actually?

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (ESV)

This lesson explores true freedom — not just cultural “do whatever I want” thinking — but the Biblical reality that freedom is rooted in Christ alone.

Word Study

Hebrew: חָפְשִׁי chopshi — free, exempt
Greek: ἐλευθερία eleutheria — liberty, freedom

Students will examine how Scripture uses both terms — and how God defines freedom very differently than the world does.
