Laziness is Deadly; Here’s Why

“We often miss opportunity because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work” ― Thomas A. Edison When I’m asked what I do for a living and I reply that I’m a teacher of middle and high school students, I often hear a sigh. The questioner will often follow with something like, “I don’t know how

Four Benefits of Kindness

When I think back on my childhood, one of my favorite memories was attending vacation Bible school. I loved hearing the stories of the Bible, playing games, making crafts and singing. How You Can Benefit From Endurance

Endurance develops every time you reject the temptation to give up – Rick Warren            He set sail for Antarctica in 1914 with 27 men. One hundred miles from land his ship became trapped in ice and then he watched helplessly as it was crushed and sank. He and his men traveled five months, barely

I Doubt It – Doubt and the Soul

Photo by Joshua Earle on Unsplash “Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith, I consider a capacity for it terrifying and absolutely vile.” – Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night When I was a young girl, my siblings and I spent most summer days outside. We never needed our arms twisted to force
