2632) When I am looking for biblical verses to write these minutes each day, I love it when the Holy Spirit lets me see a familiar verse differently. Psalm 119:105 is one of these.

The verse reads: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (ESV)

Initially, I nod my head in recognition that God’s words to us, through his book, are there to shine and show us which ways to walk, spiritually, and they illuminate our path or direction in life.

These are good things to be reminded of and on top of these, God whispered within me telling me to compare my words to this verse.

Do my words light up others’ lives? Do they build up and help others in their Christian walk? What results come with what I have to say about life, others and priorities? A good question can be, what are my words guiding others toward? What do they illuminate in this life?
