Peace, Not Panic

2631) I loved teaching high school in the first half of my teaching career. The interaction with and the very hearts of the kids endeared them to me.

There was one situation, however, I desperately wished to be somewhere else and that was when there was a fight between the kids.

Just seeing the kids angry and hurting one another was hard for me to witness. These always rattled me, and I found I had to do some grounding exercises to help me calm.

There is good news about this subject, however, and it’s found in Exodus 15:3. Here God promises he will go to battle for us when needed. This means the God of the universe thinks enough of us that he’s willing to do battle on our behalf. This type of fighting brings me peace and not panic.
