Vengence

2629) Someone, recently, took advantage of me professionally. Because of a contractual technicality, I could not take any legal action against them (not that this would be financially, nor perhaps morally worthwhile).

Amid my decision making and anger, God reminded me of Deuteronomy 32:43.

He said he would take vengeance on his people’s enemies.

Reading this verse allowed me to sit back knowing God will take care of this person. I didn’t need to do anything.

Does this mean that, as God’s children, we shouldn’t set boundaries nor accept the poor treatment others dish out to us? I don’t think so.

All I know is I really couldn’t reasonably do something about this situation, but I didn’t need to; God’s got my back. He’s got yours, too.
