2627) Sometimes I think about the fact that though my life has touched many, in a minimal number of years what I have said or done in my life, my words and actions will dissipate into the funnel of time.
I’m okay with that. After all, there have only been a limited number of people whose words are still in the living memory of people centuries later.
Isaiah 40:8 tells us God’s words are not like ours. His words were used to begin the earth and all of mankind. (Genesis 1), and the prophet reminds us that God’s words will stand forever.
There is a lot of evidence that this has happened so far in the history of the world. There are many discoveries in archeology that reveal words from the Bible and there will be more discovered in the years to come. Maybe what we say won’t be remembered into the future, but we can count on the fact that God’s will be.
