2568) It’s interesting to me that I can find so many things to criticize myself about; I could list 5 off the top of my head. And yet, when I see and hear someone do something I think is over-the-top wrong, I don’t find it difficult to criticize them.
So, self-criticism doesn’t keep me from criticizing others. Galatians 3:28 tells us of how God wants us to view people.
Here, Paul tells us that classes and categories of people are equal in God’s eyes. We are all one in Christ. Am I better than everyone else? Are my actions better? The answer is no. Meditating on this can help me value myself more because God sees me the same as he sees any Biblical hero, but it also helps me value others for the same reason.
