2560) Have you ever thought about the fact that kids are really good at accusing others. When I taught, there wasn’t a day that went by when someone accused someone else of something.
What’s interesting to me is the percentage of the time the “guilty” were really guilty but, often, they were not.
Revelation 12:10 addresses accusers. It reads: now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. (ESV)
Here, Satan is called the accuser. He tries to rat us out on a regular basis. Does this mean there is no truth in his accusations? No. There often is an element of truth in it.
Satan may be an accuser and there may be some truth in what he’s saying but as God’s children, God is the judge and he offers salvation, whether the accusation is true or not. Answering to God is more important than helping Satan beat yourself up for something God has already forgiven.
