Asking who says is an important question. What we are really seeking to know is, does the one giving instruction have the authority to do so?
Romans 8:11 reminds us that God’s spirit will direct us in what to do. What we should next recognize is that this same spirit raised Jesus from the dead. Now, that’s authority. It is often good to question the authority of those giving us guidelines. It will communicate a spirit of urgency and authentication or not.
