Pain Spotlights Beauty

2493) As a creator and writer, I examine things a little differently than others. I have noticed that within the hurricane of pain, there is the eye of beauty.

I have noticed those who have survived rape, infidelity, cruelty and more, who have been able to turn their pain into a blueprint of how they want to help others in the same boat.

When someone else who has suffered or is suffering, seeing, hearing and grieving with those who have experienced the same things can bring hope and healing. The pain spotlights beauty.

Isaiah 53:5 tells of the great suffering of the Messiah, which is highlighted in the Gospels. Jesus was pierced, crushed, and punished, and his suffering was crowned with the fact that in taking our sin upon him, he became separated from God. A pain far worse than the physical. In all this pain, we can see the beauty of grace. Why Jesus would be willing to do this for sinners who sometimes don’t even acknowledge his pain is beyond me. Yet, I’m so glad he did.
