Now, this saying is more about saving face. Hold your head up and stand proud and firm.
Psalm 3:3 refers to our heads being held up, and it could mean either of the above options, but there’s one important addition to this phrase here. It says, (God) holds my head high.
Whether God is holding his children’s heads up in alertness or for dignity, it’s strengthening us in times when we need it. Thank God he holds my head up!
