A Little While

2356) Isn’t it interesting that our relationship with time changes? Remember how long a school year used to seem as a kid or how long it was for Christmas to come?

My husband and I have been married almost 40 years, and I can’t believe it’s been that long.

God also sees time differently. He’s working with eternity, so any time on this earth is nothing to him.

Because of this, it’s easy to put a specific timeframe on when our prayers need to be answered or when God fulfills specific promises.

There are so many times in the Bible where it could be hundreds of years before God acted, and his timetable is also reflected in 1 Peter 5:10.

Peter tells us the suffering in this life will go on for a little while, but God will bring his children to a perfect, eternal and holy life. Perhaps remembering that even on this earth, our relationship to time changes will help us wait a little longer to see God move.
