2352) Life in this world is often unpredictable. Because of this, I often struggle when things that should be, aren’t.
For example, I wish that within my school day, my young scholars would keep the rules and when they don’t, more parent support the teacher in dealing with the situation.
These things I wish for aren’t always true now in a classroom, and it appears these sorts of things aren’t what they should be in every other aspect of our lives.
There is someone who is predictable,, and that is God. When God speaks, everything cooperates. Here are two of many examples.
Hebrews 11:3 tells us all God had to do to create the world and universe is to speak the word, and immediately, his command is carried out.
Matthew 8:8 tells us a Roman centurion came to see Jesus, asking for his son to be healed. In a show of great faith, the man acknowledges to Jesus that Jesus only needs to speak the word, and the sick was healed.
In our humanity, it’s easy to take an accusatory stance, focusing on what God does not say when we think he should. Wouldn’t it be more productive to focus on what God does say? Ask him to speak to you.
