Strength, Help, Support

2325) When I was a child, I struggled to understand what faith is. After all, it’s not something “concrete” or anything I can see and hold.

As an adult, I understand better that just because I don’t see something with my eyes, doesn’t mean it isn’t there or happening.

For example, Isaiah 41:10 tells me God will strengthen me when I am spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically weak.

He will help me when no one in my world can or will help.

He will uphold me, or support me, when no one else knows my heart is mortally wounded.

Faith means I become aware of what things God used in my life to strengthen me, such as a good night’s sleep.

Faith means I see help offered to me in packages I had not considered before; a person encourages me with one simple statement.

Faith means I look for support when someone does something kind for me–even as simple as holding the door when my arms are full. God does offer strength, help and support. Look for it.
