2318) Sometimes you’ve got too much on your plate. You might feel you’re running from thing to thing trying desperately to keep the balls you are juggling in the air.
If you’re like me, you keep running and only stop when you can do no more. I don’t do this because I think I’m the only one who can do it right (though that thought may cross my mind from time to time). I do it because I consider the task my responsibility.
Whatever my reasons or yours really are, Exodus 18:13-27, gives some great advice (vs. 19). Moses’ father-in-law (Jethro) tells Moses to delegate some jobs he alone was taking on.
Moses took Jethro’s advice and delegated some of his burden to others who were qualified in the area he needed help. This helped Moses tremendously.
It isn’t easy to delegate, but sometimes it is more efficient than trying to do it all yourself.
