2309) Evil is everywhere. It’s in our public figures, school shooters, and road-raged drivers. It’s easy to identify because evil just wants to destroy.
This destruction certainly includes our physical lives, but it’s more deadly when it hides in words, minds and actions.
When we are faced with evil, it might feel as if there’s nothing we can do to stop it. If I step in when I see evil, I might get hurt or even killed.
Yet, Romans 12:21 tells us exactly what we can do to fight evil. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (ESV)
Evil can look and feel like a giant that is unstoppable, but this isn’t true. God tells us to do good, and this is more powerful than evil.
It isn’t the one with the biggest gun, loudest mouth, strongest body or position that fights evil. It’s doing good.
